Mupinec 2% Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat certain skin infections such as impetigo (red sores), recurring boils and others. It works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria. This helps to improve your symptoms and cure the underlying infection.It should be taken only as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. In order to get the most benefit, apply it regularly and preferably at the same time each day. Do not use larger amounts or apply it more often or for a longer duration than directed. This will only increase the risk of side effects. Do not use it for more than 10 days. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the medicine in these areas. Before using it, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy to it or any other medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it. Local side effects like minor burning, stinging or irritation may be seen after application. Consult your doctor if these persist or if your condition doesn't improve within three to five days.


Alcohol: It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Mupinec 2% Tablet. Please consult your doctor. Pregnancy: Mupinec 2% Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. Breastfeeding: Mupinec 2% Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Mupinec 2% Tablet via licking. Driving: Mupinec 2% Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive. Kidney: Mupinec 2% Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Mupinec 2% Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. Liver: Mupinec 2% Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease.
